About Me

Hi, I’m Ashley Strehle Hartman and I write. Profile pic

I write for fun and I write for work.

I have a degree in media production-print journalism from Hastings College in Hastings, Nebraska. My professional experience includes reporting, advertising and public relations.

I’ve written for newspapers, advertisers, educational publishers, universities, government agencies and health care organizations.

For the past several years, I’ve been working as a freelance writer and editor.

I’ve written two work-for-hire, nonfiction books for children. My Robot Innovations: Entertainment Robots book for grades 3 to 6 will be released in fall 2018. My Teen Health and Safety: Teens and STDs book for middle and high school students was also released in 2018.

Every other week, you can check out one of my bar reviews in the Omaha World-Herald’s entertainment supplement, Go. I’ve also done marketing and communications work for area hospitals.

I can write and edit newsletters, craft newspaper and radio ads, give your social media posts a boost and deliver newspaper and magazine articles on a tight deadline. (I am a former reporter after all.)

So, you get it, if you need something written, edited or polished, send it my way. I write and I can do that for you.

You can also find me writing for fun on Twitter or on my personal blog, where I am baking (and blogging) my way through the Great British Baking Show.
