The Good Life Sports Bar & Grill may not be able to give you a good life. But it can give you a good sports bar experience.

Whether you’re visiting to catch a game or grab a few drinks, Good Life has everything you need — and a whole lot more.

They have all the usual draft beers on tap — Budweiser, Miller Lite and Bud Light as well as some local offerings from Infusion and Nebraska Brewing Company. They have almost three dozen bottled brews, including the usual domestics and some craft options from Deschutes Brewery.

Good Life also has a selection of about two dozen signature drinks including an extensive list of mules. I tried their Caribbean Mule, a concoction of Captain Morgan White Pineapple Rum, ginger beer and lime. It’s crisp and refreshing and a good summery drink.

Their signature drink list has classics like bloody Marys and Manhattans. They also have fruity options like The Good Life Strawberry with Cruzan Strawberry Rum, lemonade and strawberry puree. My drinking buddy got this and I’d recommend it.

If beer or signature drinks are not to your liking, Good Life also has a selection of nearly two dozen wines, available by the glass or bottle.

Good Life’s food menu is extensive. There are all the usual appetizers such as nachos, mozzarella sticks and chicken fingers, as well as more creative options such as macaroni and cheese bites and fried shrimp.

And like all good sports bars, Good Life has wings. They’re available in servings of six and 10 for less than $11 and in servings of 20 for less than $20.

Good Life also has pizzas, burgers, sandwiches and salads, most costing less than $10. Even the larger pizzas cost less than $20.

I had their BLT, which came with thick-cut bacon, lettuce, tomato and mayo on toasted sourdough. It was $9.49 and came in a generous portion.

My drinking buddy got the Chicken Ranch Wrap, which she enjoyed. It comes with your choice of grilled or hand-breaded chicken, lettuce, tomato, bacon, cheddar cheese and ranch dressing in a tomato basil tortilla. It was less than $10.

Our food came out quickly. Throughout our visit, our wait staff was quick — always attentive, but never bothersome — and friendly.

The unpretentious vibe at Good Life makes it a good place to gather with friends to enjoy a game. In cooler weather, you can watch your favorite team on Good Life’s 35 indoor televisions. On nice days, you can watch outdoors on the patio. The spacious outdoor patio has six flat-screen televisions, a fire pit and seating for almost 100 people.

Good Life’s inside accommodations are equally spacious — with plenty of seating at low and high-top tables. They also have shuffleboard and electronic games.

In short, it’s all good at Good Life. They have everything you need in a sports bar.
